I just bought a "used-like new" maxisys ultra from jbtoools.com. they are an authorized dealer from what I understand. I thought it was an open box item so I got a deal. When it just arrived, their staff wiped the device of all makes/models and registered the device to themselves, so its basically a brick. I emailed autel to get the registration changed over to my account, but now I don't know if it'll still come with the initial year of updates so I can add vehicles ot it, or if I will have to fork out 900$ on day one to be able to even use it. It's cheaper to send it back and buy a new one. This looks like a brand new, unused device from what I can tell. ANY help or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.
